Working for a greener future, today
Osreton has always prided itself in being a leader in eco-friendliness. While most of the country is highly decentralized, the one thing the country can unify for is preserving the nature around us. As such, the Osreton National Green Initiative, or ONGI, was instated for the entire nation on September 7th, 1815. The goal was the create a country that preserve and grow the land as the country itself grew. While OGNI has changed as the world changes and new technologies and ideas are introduced, this principle has always remained.
2021 ONGI Requirements
- Green energy is the only energy allowed in the country. Solar panels, wind and tidal turbines, and biofuel are encouraged to be used through cities and any other areas that are available. Any and all forms on non-renewable energy is strictly banned.
- A minimum of 40% of all cities, towns, and villages should be green spaces. This includes roadside buffers, parks, farms, and other areas.
